About me

My name is Amaia, and I’m officially a researcher in biomedicine—yoohoo!

My career has been driven by a passion for understanding the role immune cells play in the progression of metabolic diseases and cancer, with the goal of contributing to the development of new therapies and improving patient treatment decisions. In recent years, I’ve focused my studies by completing a PhD in Biomedicine at the University of Navarra and conducting postdoctoral research at New York University Langone Health.

Living in different places like UK, Spain and the US has only fueled my curiosity about science, art, and the diverse lifestyles around the world. I use this space in the vast ocean of the internet to share my interests and passions freely, hoping to connect with others who share similar curiosities. On Art. Science. Me, I write primarily about the things suggested by the title—my reflections on the subtle yet significant aspects of life, alongside scientific topics and discoveries I find interesting.
